As the stage is set down in Miami, FL, for #1 Notre Dame to take on #2 University of Alabama, we look to the injury report to see if there will be any concerns. Fotunately, it appears that both sides of the field will have a virtually injury-free report.
Notre Dame has no injuries to report of, but Alabama has a couple of players who will be playing despite attending limited practices leading up the to championship game.
Barrett Jones has been wearing a protective boot on his left foot due to an injury suffered during the SEC Championship Game. He claims he will be ready to roll against Notre Dame although he has only attended two practices.
The Crimson Tide also reported an injury to linebacker Denzel Devall. He injured his knee during a field goal drill in bowl preparation. Devall will be playing, but may be less than 100%.
Alabama wide receiver Kenny Bell was in a no-contact jersey, but was moving better at recent practices. Nose guard Jesse Williams appears to be recovered from his knee injury. The only unlikely candidate from Alabama looks to be safety Jerrick Williams.
For the Fighting Irish it appears that DaVaris Daniels is back from injury. He is expected to help boost Notre Dame’s passing attack. It seems all of the other players for Notre Dame will be well rested and injury free. Hopefully it will be a great game between two of the nation’s top defenses.
