As I sat down for dinner and prayed over the pizza that was in front of me, it prompted me to write a post about the three most unhealthy foods out there. Here are the top 3:
- Potato Chips
For reasons very similar I will explain why all three of them are unhealthy. When trying to decide what foods are healthy you should ask yourself three things:
- Is this food inflammatory or anti-inflammatory?
- Is the food acidic or alkalinic?
- What is the Glycemic Index for this food?
These three questions will be very important if you want to make healthy food choices. The foods we eat should mostly have anti-inflammatory properties, cause a neutral or alkalinic blood pH change, and lastly it should be relatively low on the Glycemic Index. As for the three worst foods mentioned above, they are: inflammatory, acidic, and yes – very high on the glycemic index.
So you are probably asking me, why did you eat pizza for dinner? The answer is – because it tastes good. In reality I eat very well most of the week, but I am not afraid to eat something unhealthy every once in a while. I just make it the exception, and not the usual.
