Nutrition is Your Best WeaponThe Minnesota Chiropractic Association met last month and came up with healthy eating habits for everyone to adopt.  These simple changes to your nutrition will help make your body a great defense mechanism against sickness and pain.

  • Eat more raw foods – many of the enzymes and micronutrients embedded in our whole foods are destroyed when we cook, can, or microwave our foods.  These enzymes are used to help with digestion.
  • Go Organic – avoid pesticides and toxicities with organic foods.
  • Eat Healthy Fats – add large amounts of omega-3 fatty acids whenever possible.  These can be found in foods such as avocados, fish oil, grass fed animals, nuts, omega-3 eggs.
  • Drink More Water – it is recommended that you drink half your body weight of water in ounces per day.  This does not include drinks made from water.  If you drink coffee or tea, then add 3 cups of water for every cup of coffee or tea in addition to the above amount.
