I get asked all the time, “What is the Best Supplement?” Even with everything out there, the answer remains the same – vegetables.
I know what you are thinking, vegetables are not a supplement, but I disagree. In my opinion supplements are anything that can be added to your current diet to make it healthier and better. So if you are not getting enough vegetables, then you need to SUPPLEMENT with more vegetables. Here is the funny thing… even if you do eat several servings of vegetables a day, you can still supplement your diet with more vegetables.
Yes, you can never eat enough vegetables. Although some of you may be taking a medication that will limit your intake of vegetables high in Vitamin K, there are plenty of other vegetables to choose from. My all time favorite are green, leafy vegetables, especially spinach. Not the shredded kind found in the freezer or in a can, but the fresh stuff. Spinach may be one of the healthiest foods you can eat. It is loaded with vitamins and minerals and has very few calories. It also helps makes your blood pH levels more alkalinic.
So in the famous words of Popeye, “I’m strong to the finish, cause I eats me spinach.”
